The Grand Forks & District Recreation Department operates the  Grand Forks & District Aquatic Centre and the Grand Forks Jack Goddard Memorial Arena and offers a wide variety of programs, activities and special events for all ages. Check the Aquatic Centre program schedule  and the Arena program schedule for information on facility schedules, programs, special events and community activities.

Funding for recreation services comes from the residents of the City of Grand Forks and Electoral Area D Grand Forks as well as from facility and program user fees. Recreation facilities programs and facilities each have their own budgets.

Grant In Aid

We want to hear from you, particularly if your organization makes a difference to sport, culture & recreation in Electoral Area D Grand Forks. Check out the opportunities available through the RDKB’s Grant In Aid program. 

Applications are accepted throughout the year but two dedicated intake periods have been established for groups in this area - the end of the business day on Monday, March 11 and Monday, September 23, 2024.
