RDKB Bylaw No. 1550 requires all dogs more than four months old to be licensed. Greenwood residents should also see Bylaw 1568.

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR DOG FOR 2024:

1. Over the phone by calling 250-442-2708.  We can take a credit card payment over the phone and will email you a confirmation receipt.

• If you reach our voicemail, PLEASE, leave a message.  We have created a system that has proven to be quite thorough, it just takes time to get back to everyone.  You can usually expect a response from our office within a week.

2. In person at 2140 Central Ave.  We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

3. Thru email.  Send an email to dogtags@rdkb.com with the following info:

Once your information is loaded into our system we will give you a call for payment.

For wildlife: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days per week.

For domestic animals or farm animals: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days per week. Closed on Statutory holidays.

If this is an animal emergency outside of SPCA hours, please contact your local police department , RCMP or the Conservation Officer Service (RAPP).
