2025 CBT ReDi Grant Program

Resident Directed Grants (ReDi Grants) support projects that benefit the broad community and public good through community-based decision-making and ensuring an opportunity for resident input on projects. This program is funded by the Trust and delivered in partnership with local governments and First Nations.

2025 Process Schedule
Phase 1 - Application Process (completed February 18th)

  • applications opened - January 6, 2025
  • intake period closed - February 18, 2025, 4:00pm
 

Phase 2 - Application Review Completed (completed February 28th)

  • organizations were notified by February 21st of application eligibility status
  • 2025 eligible applications will be forwarded to TDKB Local Selection Committees and presented for funding consideration at the Resident Input Meetings being held during March

Phase 4 - Approval

  • Funding recommendations to RDKB Board – April 9, 2025
  • Applicants notified of approved proposals – April 10, 2025
  • First progress payment - upon receipt of signed agreement
  • Second progress payment – upon receipt of final project report

 

Phase 5 - Reporting

  • 2025/26 ReDi projects are expected to be completed by June 30, 2026
  • Deadline to submit 2025 Project Financial Report – December 31, 2026

 

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS for December 31, 2025
Organizations approved for CIP/ReDi grant funding in 2024 and earlier with outstanding or incomplete final reports as of December 31, 2025, will not be eligible for 2026 ReDi grant funding consideration. Once reporting requirements are satisfied the organization will be eligible to participate in the grant program during the next years intake period.

Community Works Fund (Formerly Gas Tax)

Community Works Fund (Formerly Gas Tax) is administered by the Union of BC Municipalities and provides predictable, long-term and stable funding to local governments for investment in infrastructure and capacity building projects. The original name of the fund reflects its origins from revenues raised by the federal gasoline excise tax. More information is available here.

Grant in Aid

Each of the five RDKB electoral areas - A, B/Lower Columbia-Old Glory, C/Christina Lake, D/Rural Grand Forks and E/West Boundary - can provide grants to groups or organizations that work to benefit their communities.

Organizations are encouraged to submit applications throughout the year. 
For Area D/Rural Grand Forks only, applications will be processed during two intake periods in March and September.
