The RDKB operates three landfill sites, three staffed transfer stations and four unstaffed transfer stations. Use the map below to locate the landfill site or transfer station nearest to you.

Greater Trail Area

All RDKB landfills and staffed transfer stations are closed on statutory holidays, (*except the Big White Transfer Station):

New Year’s Day (January 1), Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day (July 1), BC Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30), Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day (November 11), Christmas Day, and Boxing Day

Unless a statutory holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, normal weekend hours of operation apply.

Banned Materials

For environmental and safety reasons, landfills exclude many materials you may still want to get rid of. To find out how to dispose of banned materials, please contact the RDKB for assistance.

  • We need to make the capacity of each landfill last!

The following fees apply to our staffed landfills and transfer stations at McKelvey Creek Regional Landfill (Trail), West Boundary Landfill (Greenwood), Christina Lake Transfer Station and Grand Forks Regional Landfill. Note that some fees include a minimum charge.
