The RDKB recognizes that personal and community safety are fundamental to every person’s well-being, wherever you live, work or travel.
Services we provide
The RDKB provides fire rescue, emergency management and bylaw enforcement services region-wide and victim services in the Greater Trail area to support you to stay safe during a crisis or an emergency.
We cooperate closely with our municipalities and neighbouring regional districts to make sure those who occupy the borders of our region have access to the nearest public safety services.
Our provincial partners in public safety include the Office of the Fire Commissioner, the BC Ambulance Service, the RCMP, the BC Wildfire Service, the Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General which includes victim services, Emergency Management BC and PreparedBC who oversee emergency response, preparedness and recovery.
